Community User guide
Home shows Latest Members, Recent Activities of ProposalCafe.com community members and Recent Group Activities. The Profile page is where your personal profile and your applications will be displayed. A User Profile picture can be displayed from your images and it will be automatically resized. The upper right side of the page displays your profile details. You may edit these through the edit button. Under the Profile details, the status updates of your Friends and a button to list all your friends are shown. Your profile name area will also display some additional information: Karma, Member since, Last online and Profile view(s). Below this information, you may update your status, such as what are you currently up to, etc. This area will also display any incoming messages or friend requests. Moving on, you will find four module buttons. First is the "invite friends" button to allow you invite friends from your contact email by keying in your friend email. Next are "Add Photos", "Add Applications" and "Start a Group" Button. In addition to the information mentioned above, the Profile page also displays other details. First is the update of the users latest activities. Next is the list of applications that you have added on.
Karma is a user point-system used at ProposalCafe.com. It shows how active you are in our proposal community. Karma will only be activated only when you have uploaded a picture in your user profile. Otherwise, you will forever have no Karma points. You receive Karma points for such activities as: forming and joining groups, inviting friends to join our community, uploading pictures, submitting articles, or submitting events to the events listing.
Under the Groups tab it shows the groups you have joined. You can start a group to discuss any subject about which there is interest. Group creation is moderated by the ProposalCafe.com administration team. Groups that are found to be inappropriate will be deleted. Photos You may shows images you have uploaded to your Profile. We have made the Photo application a “core” application which means it has already been installed for you. Wall On the Wall, you and your friends are able to leave a comment on your Profile Page. Custom Fields In user profile custom fields, for those text field that represent a url link (e.g. your ebb site), you can add the string 'http://' follow by your url address, e.g. 'http://proposalcafe.com’. During value display in profile page, the string value will automatic converted to clickable hyperlink. Applications are add-in programs that enhance the features available to you on ProposalCafe.com. An example of an application is an add-in program that allows you to upload pictures to share with your friends or other members. There are many applications on ProposalCafe.co. You can choose which applications you would like to have on your account. Many of the applications have been added as “core” applications so they are available to everyone.

There are 2 ways to send a message, via your own inbox or by clicking on the other user's profile and the write a message link. Groups are members who have joined together to discuss and share information about a specific subject. You can easily join and participate in groups. Before you can post on the group wall or create a discussion, you will first need to become a member of the group. Click the "Join Now" to join a group. To manage the Groups that you have joined, go to Application --> Group. Here, you can view the current groups, search for a group, and view groups that you have joined. You can also create a new group. Group Announcement Announcements list all of the bulletins the Group founder wishes to make to the group. The Announcement section does not support replies. Only the Group founder can Create a Bulletin for the Announcement section. Group Discussion The Discussion section lists all discussions that anyone posts in the group. The Discussions section supports replies from group members. Group Wall The Group Wall supports Wall posts from members of the group. To manage your photos, go to Application --> Media. Here, you can upload new photos, browse them and create photo albums. |
