This is the area of the forum where you can ask questions or make comments about submitting proposals to Federal, state, and local government agencies.

Finding State and Local Goverment Opportunities Posted: 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I don't know if the is the appropriate forum to post in but.....

We've looked at a number of paid services that identify state and local rfps and can not justify their cost. Does anyone know of a free services we could subscribe to to identify opportunities?

Thanks,

Dov

Hi Dov,

Note: Thanks to the post below, I have learned that this site is no longer active. You might find similar information at one of the "Grants Services" links in our "Resource Links" section.

Here is a site that provides a review of state
business assistance websites:
http://www.abcsmallbiz.com/bizbasics/gettingstarted/state_resource_too.html

Is your company a Small Business? I have asked Chuck Keller to take a look at your question and see if he can suggest any places to look for information.

The bottom line is that if you don't want to pay for a service that provides these leads, you are going to have to spend some time on every state's site and also search the sites of major cities on a weekly basis.

Hi Bill,

I am a new member and browsing around came across this post. I clicked on the link you provided to just browse the site, to find the site no longer exists...or at least according to my net service provider it is no longer in existence. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Lately between myself and others I network with, this has become an on going issue for Gov grant resource access. By the time we get to a site it is gone. It is wierd, but somehow becoming rather common.

Sincerely,

Taylor

Hi Taylor,

Thanks for the "heads up" on this site. Our Resource Links section has a feature that checks the links periodically to make sure they are still working but that doesn't work for links embedded in posts.

By the way, welcome.
