I've found that many people don't know about the Format Painter feature of MS Word. It's a great time saver in that it allows you to select a section within your doc and copy its formatting characteristics to another section.
1) First, highlight the section that is properly formatted. Then click the Format Painter tool. It's the one that looks like a paint brush.

2) Then highlight the area to be converted. (To convert multiple areas, double-click on the Format Painter in step 1.)

3) And voila - formatting consistency.

Even many professional writers and proposal pros haven't discovered this gem. Enjoy.
